Terrehaven Solutions got its name directly from the owner's grandfather's farm, Terrehaven farms is, where the owner spent his childhood and learned the values and skills that led him to start Terrehaven Solutions.

John, the owner, had a very simple identity when I began working with him. Something that worked but wasn’t satisfying. He had explored a few other designer options in the price range, but the same thing kept coming up: hammers, houses, and tools.
These previous explorations were too literal and overall completely missed the mark. The problem was that they were designed for construction professionals, not the families that both inspire and work with Terrehaven solutions.
It was never about the work or the tools, but about the emotion and meaning that motivate his clients and him, as the owner and the reason he started the business in the first place.
Feeling truly at home in your house.
All of this was the context I needed to solve his problem.
We know now what the business does, what wasn’t the answer, and most importantly, the story and the audience. Despite previous negative reactions towards a house logo this one landed differently because it clearly connected to and communicated the story by showcasing a barn roof, highlighting the original farm, and a house safely tucked beneath it. The family values he grew up with on that farm have become the protective covering over his clients and their homes.
